Ekamula Sutta

     44. (The deva said;)

      "The arahat has crossed over the unfathomable ocean (of samsara) that has one root cause - Craving, two whirlpools (the antithetical wrong views of eternalism and extinction), three impurities (attachment, hatred and bewilderment), five expanses (the five sense-pleasures), and twelve eddies (the twelve sense-bases)."
